Texense will showcase a new bolometer-based thermal camera system that features a bespoke sensing element. It boasts an accuracy of <1% FS over 240 pixels and is available with different pixel matrix configurations and different lenses to get the right field of view for the application. To top it off, the system was designed with a shutterless system, eliminating the mechanical failures and temperature drift issues typically found with thermal camera systems.

Other features that truly set this sensor apart from its competitors are its speed and high frequency (100Hz). This allows engineers to capture data during dynamic events such as hard braking and launching – events that sensors would previously have missed, as traditional IR sensors and FLIR-based camera systems tend to be limited to 10Hz.
