Professional MotorSport World Expo 2016 steps forward into its second decade with the 11th staging of the event in Cologne on 9, 10, 11 November 2016. The event is now seen as the must-attend annual motorsport show in central Europe, and a main theme for 2016 is ‘Excellence in German Motorsport Engineering & Technology’. This will be supported with a number of specialist promotions to highlight German exhibitors.
Show founder Tony Robinson says, “Over the years we have run a number of initiatives to promote British motorsport technology with various promotions set up in association with the Motorsport Industry Association in the UK and parallel body UKTI. So this year we have decided to make the theme ‘The year of German excellence’ and run some special promotional initiatives for our German exhibitors. This won’t in any way detract from our global community of exhibitors, who as always will enjoy the benefit of our highly qualified visitor profile and marketing, which is and has always been clearly stated as ‘no entry to the general public’.”
Primary attendance is motorsport engineering and technical people, race car builders, team managers and principals and motorsport equipment dealers and distributors. Although 75% of visitors are from Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium, a significant number of visitors travel from much further afield, meaning that typically we see visitors coming from around 50 countries, making this a truly international event.
The expo has transformed the fortunes of countless exhibitors who have changed their business profiles as a result of their participation at the show, from national to pan-European, and in some cases to global.
