Lewis Hopkins, a member of the production team at Professional Motorsport World, has sensationally won a factory supported drive in next season’s British Porsche Carrera Cup.
Lewis and one other driver were selected from six finalists after two days of intensive evaluation at Silverstone and it is hoped that this will be the first step to a professional career in sports car racing.
“It feels amazing; I’ve never felt like this before,” said Hopkins. “I wanted it but wasn’t expecting it. It means everything for my racing career and I can do what I really want to do in 2009. This has been a great experience and I’m really grateful for the opportunity.”
Hopkins currently races in the Caterham Roadsports championship alongside Graham Johnson, Managing Director of Professional Motorsport World magazine. |
