Brake and clutch manufacturer AP Racing will have several new technologies on display. The first will be a new brake caliper kit for GT3 racing. The front and rear caliper set offers reduced weight, improved pad loading for even pressure distribution, and a fixed-bridge design.
In addition to the brake kit, visitors will be able to discover a new, patented DBT sintered clutch. The 184mm-diameter clutch is designed with a novel mounting method that should reduce stress and be easier to mount. Finally, the company will showcase an optimized pedal box.
As well as the new products, AP Racing will be discussing its new manufacturing facility adjacent to its current headquarters in Coventry, UK. The 2,700m2 facility at the Seven Stars Industrial Estate was the result of a seven-figure investment and was opened in late September. It incorporates leading-edge production-line technology for brake calipers, with some of the most sophisticated equipment of its kind anywhere in the automotive sector.
