Darchem and Vsystem are collaborating to develop a one-stop-shop solution for hydroformed exhaust systems manipulation and insulation. To that end, Darchem has come up with a lightweight thermal material that has the same exhaust-insulating capacity as conventional materials, but at a lighter weight. The D400 insulation can be used as either an integral or a detachable solution.

Darchem’s insulation goes well with Italian company Vsystem’s exhausts and other pipe products. Vsystem produces complete exhaust systems for racing and dyno testing, post turbo components in titanium heat-resistant alloys, turbocharger assemblies, and hydroformed complex parts. Its core business is the manufacture of motorsport components made of nickel and titanium special alloys, as well as tube bending, plastic forming and hydroforming, all assembled by GTAW welding. It is also expanding into titanium structural parts. As such, it is an FIA-homologated supplier for the manufacture of halo safety equipment.
