Visitors to PMW Expo looking for clever insulation solutions should stop by the booth of Thermisol, which will present a brand-new development. The Integral-F is a very flexible integral insulation that, thanks to an ultra-thin stainless-steel mesh, supports the insulated component and keeps it stable while still allowing it to move and remain flexible.

Thermisol’s existing range of insulation products will also be on show – it offers a number of combinations of outer shell and insulation materials. The foil used to make the shell can be gold coated for ultimate reflectivity. Thermisol can manufacture this foil with a thickness of just 0.05mm, making it ultra-thin and 50% lighter than conventional foils, the company claims. Alternatively the foil can be made out of titanium, making it very hard and strong.

The insulation material itself can be molded into practically any shape, ensuring that it follows the exact profile of the insulated component without leaving any gaps. Where space is truly critical, Thermisol also offers a microporous material that boasts extremely low thermal conductivity.
